Raya Hegeman-Davis is the School – University Research Coordinator for the Urbana – Champaign campus. She is leading the creation and implementation of the Statewide K-12 CS Education Summits and development of Illinois-wide strategies for CS Education. Raya holds a Ph.D in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota and undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Sarah McCarthey serves as Department Head of Curriculum and Instruction and is the lead for development of new courses and programs in that department. She holds a Ph.D. in Teacher Education from Michigan State University and undergraduate degrees in English and Elementary Education from Tufts University.
Luc Paquette is an Assistant Professor in Curriculum & Instruction and is leading development efforts for the University of Illinois’ computer science education teacher certification programs. He holds a PhD and an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Sherbrooke.
Craig Zilles is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been the lead consultant from the Computer Science department on the development of the CS teacher education endorsement program. He received his Ph.D. in 2002 from Wisconsin-Madison for his work with Guri Sohi on Speculative Slices and Master/Slave Speculative Parallelization.
